Rugged terrain, deep forests and a beautiful scenery of the Moravice river valley, a dense network of marked tourist footpaths offer a lot of opportunities for walking. There are also several natural trails in Hradec and its neighbourhood.
It was established probably in the 19th century by the owners of the castle, Prince Lichnovský family, and opened to the public in 1936 thanks to localauthorities in co-operation with Lesy ČR co. and the Club of Czech tourists. It leads from the castle park – it starts near a stone board with the inscription „Buchen Weg“ along the contour line through the wood on the left bank of the Moravice. Originally there used to be beeches and firs, now there are just beeches and spruces in the second half of the route. It is a comfortable undemanding path full of romantic hideaways and magnificent views of the valley of the Moravice, of Hanuše and Žimrovice. From the path you can climb a rocky slope along a hardly visible winding path as high as a former Bellaria view. The name inscribed in stone is derived form Italian words Bella ria (beautiful river). Along the beech path you can spot interesting rare plants and animals. The path is marked by a green sign and it follows after the yellow tourist sign leading to „Myslivna Doubrava“.
