Hradec nad Moravicí is a cultural centre of its part of Silesia. The tourists can visit  a theatre and concert hall, cinema, library and an information centre. Hradec is the HQ of the local branch of Matice Slezská, an organisation maintaining the traditions of Silesia. Other traditions are kept alive too, such as firefighters´ activities, folk traditions, fairs and markets. Hradec organizes a number of social and cultural activities, such as Opening of the Spring and Tourist Season, Hradec Fair (which has been organised together with the Čas Radio Station in recent years), and others. However the most important of these events is the international music competition of young musicians called Beethoven´s Hradec.
