Sport and games

Tourists can use several sports facilities in Hradec nad Moravicí, e.g. tennis courts and both volleyball and beach volleyball courts, where also ”nohejbal”, a Czech variety of this game, is played. Lovers of fitness exercises will also get their money´s worth. Three courts for playing streetball are available, too.

Small children will be filled with joy at children´s playground Na Tylovách, where they will find swings and seesaws, climbing frames, slides and other attractions. In summer tourists can enjoy swimming at the public swimming pool in the grounds of SC Hradec or have a swim or bathe in the Moravice river near Žimrovice sluice. Lovers of inline skating will also find their tracks. In rainy weather lovers of sports can use multi-purpose hall of local elementary school.  Would you like to try what it is like to see the world from horseback? It will be easy in Hradec.

As for skiing, hills around Hradec do not offer long slopes, but skiers can use skiing grounds with a ski lift called Kalvárie (near Kajlovec). The conditions for cross-country skiing are very good. Its lovers can set out in any direction, but the marked track is the nicest.
